Touching Lives Foundation was established to help bridge this gap.
Founded by a mother and daughter with roots in Zambia and a home in the United States, we connect people who want to make a difference with organizations and communities working directly with vulnerable people living with disabilities.
Our work began by providing mobility equipment to individuals who need it. As we grow, our vision is to expand this support through partnerships with organizations on the ground, helping address specific needs that can make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

About Us
Our Story
It Started With a Mother and Daughter Who Wanted to Help.
Touching Lives Foundation began with something simple: a desire to help.
In Zambia, a mother and daughter began purchasing food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies for homes caring for children living with disabilities.
What started as a personal effort grew into a deeper commitment to serving vulnerable communities.
We began visiting schools and supporting awareness initiatives that educated young girls about child sexual abuse, personal safety, and the importance of speaking up and reporting abuse.
Eventually, our journey took us to the United States.
Our Mission
Our mission is to connect vulnerable people living with disabilities in Zambia to resources, partnerships, and opportunities that promote mobility, dignity, safety, and inclusion.
We do this by:

Mobility & Assistive Equipment
We support access to mobility equipment for people living with disabilities. As we grow, our goal is to help individuals with more complex disabilities access properly assessed and customized mobility and positioning equipment suited to their individual needs.
This may include specialized equipment for children and adults living with conditions such as cerebral palsy and other complex disabilities.
Specialized Healthcare Access
Our future vision includes helping connect beneficiaries with qualified healthcare professionals who understand the specific needs of people living with disabilities.
Through partnerships, we hope to support appropriate follow-up care and access to professional guidance.
Caregiver & Nutrition Support
Caring for a child or adult with a complex disability can be challenging.
We envision working with qualified professionals and organizations to provide parents and caregivers with practical education around nutrition, feeding, and other aspects of disability care.
Safer Living Environments
Sometimes, a relatively small project can make a major difference.
We want to support partner organizations with projects that improve safety and accessibility—for example, helping a children's home construct a secure perimeter wall or fence or make other necessary improvements to its environment.
Partnerships & Community Projects
We work toward partnering with organizations that have direct contact with vulnerable children, adults, and caregivers.
Together, we can identify needs, develop projects, mobilize resources, and create practical solutions.
